Sankofa
Sankofa is a word in the Twi language of the Akan people of Ghana that means "go back and get it". It is symbolized by a bird with its feet facing forward and its head looking back. The Spirit of Sankofa encompasses taking from the past what is good and bringing it into the present to make progress in the future.

CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY 24/7/365/6
My name is Cynthia Cornelius, CEO and Founder of The Chinue X Project, Inc, an Afrocentric Educational Resource Service.
I am a native and current resident of Oakland, Ca. I posess a Bachelors in Africana Studies, and a Masters in Equity and Social Justice in Education (SFSU)
I created TCXPI to feel a void in mainstream education that distorts, omits, and ignores the many contributions of Africans and African Americans in world and human civilization.
TCXPI offers Afrocentric projects, workshops, and classes, that foster self-pride, self- worth, and self-respect for our young scholars, while Celebrating their ANKHcestors!
If you would like your young scholar to be a part of TCXPI, please contact us.

TCXPI & ESO Ventures Cohort Fall 2020
When I first started this cohort in September, five months post

to take TCXPI to the next level. So I committed to the challenge. It has been a
rewarding and welcoming experience to have been a part of this initiative!
