2023 TCXPI YSEP Back To School Give Away

2023 TCXPI YSEP Presents
BACK TO SCHOOL GIVE AWAY

“We want to see all Oakland youth THRIVE!”

Saturday, August 5, 2023, TCXPI YSEP will give away free supply-filled backpacks to youth at West Oakland Public Library 1801 Adeline St. Oakland
from 1030-1230pm. (One per child)

TCXPI Young Scholars Enrichment Program serves Oakland youth ages 8-15 years old in the West Oakland and surrounding neighborhoods and schools most impacted by racial disparities/inequities. Those underserved youth who have been disproportionately affected by social, economic, educational, and environmental challenges and barriers.

TCXPI YSEP's mission is to provide culturally relevant and sustaining educational/enrichment opportunities to at-risk/high-potential African American youth to foster positive self-identity, self-love, self-determination, self- pride, self-respect, and self-worth to have a positive impact in their lives and within their community.

TCXPI YSEP incorporates positive youth development, culturally relevant and sustaining concepts that will serve to bring awareness to the many significant contributions made by people of African descent to world and human civilization.
That history which continues to be restricted, distorted, or omitted on local, state, and national levels.
